There’s plenty of good information about typography out there.
Unfortunately, this list of 10 tragic typefaces is quite possibly the least informative article of all time.
Let me sum it up for you:
If you use a font that anybody else used, you suck. If the font is a default anywhere and you use it, you suck. I hate all the fonts that come standard on computers. There are better fonts out there. But I won’t tell you anything about them.
That’s about all you’ll learn there. You won’t learn anything about the interesting tension in web design/typography between using new fonts and the importance of standardization across platforms. You won’t hear any interesting alternatives.
On the other hand, if you scroll all the way through the comments, you WILL find an interesting article on Helvetica not unlike the documentary of the same name (which I highly recommend, by the way).
