Poetry Blog Commenting Fixed
For what it’s worth, I fixed the commenting problem I was having on my poetry blog, so everyone can rush, now, to it and engage the mind-blowing exercise I so poorly set up.
Oops.
I still haven’t posted any actual poetry there. I wrote something I’m not utterly ashamed of today, so that’s a start [...]
Nationwide Insurance Customer Service Bites
When we were in Arkansas, we had our insurance, car and home, through Nationwide. We had a local office, Nathan Combs. If you live in Fayetteville, I’d recommend going to them. It was cheaper than anywhere else, and the people there are really great, particularly the young guy with red hair. [...]
Foot In Mouth
When I took this picture, I didn’t really think anything about it.
But I took it to with the work camera this weekend and forgot to get it off before I went to work today. My officemate William has the card reader. When I asked him to get some pics off the comptuer, [...]

Heroes
Right now, NBC has all 18 episodes of Heroes up on their website. They stream off with about five 15-second commericals per 45-minute episode.
I’m sure I’ve blogged about this before, but THIS is big media finally getting it. Charge advertisers through the nose for a chance to have your commerical be [...]
Slaughterhouse 5 and the Gospel
I mentioned before that Vonnegut takes on the gospel in Slaughterhouse 5. He says that part of the problem with the gospel is ‘its shoddy story-telling,’ that the lesson we learn after they crucify Jesus (because we know he’s God’s son the whole time and not just some regular bum) is they shouldn’t have [...]
Envelopes on Linux
May I say this: despite the instructions here on printing envelopes in Ubuntu, it’s virtually impossible.
Thank goodness for dual-booting.
